Dark and Dramatic

These images of an L.A. atelier (from my new favorite interior designer Kishani Perera) make me want to surround myself with deep and moody jewel tones all the time. Particularly tempting is that jade green bedroom... now how sexy is that!?

I also want that bamboo wing chair....wow!

My Dream Wardrobe by Duro Olowu

If any Fashion Week collection summed up what I look for in the perfect wardrobe, it would be this one from London-based designer Duro Olowu.  If money were no object, I would probably wear one of these looks every day! You can never have too many fabulously eclectic prints in my opinion!

p.s. And I need those black-dotted shoes...

Love Murals

For those of you who don't know much about Philadelphia, we are a city full of murals. The Mural Arts Program works to beautify neighborhoods and instill a sense of civic pride for the residents of these areas. A Love Letter for You is a project that has resulted in the amazing murals shown here, which can be seen from the elevated subway line.  Personally, I think one of these would be the absolute perfect background for an engagement photo shoot! Thanks so much to Cheyenne over at Loveleigh Invitations for sharing these with me....

Loving Lonny

I have been looking forward to the debut of Lonny, the new online magazine edited by Michelle Adams (of Rubie Green) for a while, but... WOW! I had no idea how good it was going to be! The first issue is chock full of truly amazing interiors and great photography. It is very "Domino" in all the best ways you can imagine. Below is a small sampling of what you'll find inside.  There were really way too many great images to choose from, so you better head over to Lonny to take in the rest....

Sunny Bedrooms

Isn't lovely waking up in a sun-filled bedroom? If my bedroom looked like one of the ones above, sun or not, I would never leave....

A Lovely Wedding Idea...

I can't get over what an unbelievably pretty idea this is for displaying table numbers at a wedding! A couple old windows, a white paint pen, some nice handwriting and... Voila! The perfect display to greet your guests at the reception. Love, love, love it....

Bold Colors & Bright Ideas - Frank Roop

There are many details that I love in these amazing rooms by interior designer Frank Roop. While each space is super glamorous, so many of the individual ideas are totally DIY-able! Let me name a few: the fuchsia silk print-covered stool with nail head trim, the teal shades with chartreuse ribbon trim on the matching desk lamps...

...the chartreuse velvet bench with legs painted the same color (so much more chic that way!)...

...the pale blue and sea foam accessories on the bedside tables make for such an unexpected yet brilliant color combo...

...more vibrantly-hued lampshades, this time on gold candlestick lamps (wow, I totally need to get to work painting some of my lampshades)...

...and finally, how about that crazy gorgeous ribbon trim on the natural drapes!

There are just too many good ideas here. What I like best is how all of these rooms feature a neutral backdrop, which is perfect for letting the (many) accent colors pop. I've been debating what color to paint my master bedroom, and now I'm thinking I will go with a taupe or beige so I can go crazy with color everywhere else.... Thanks Mr. Roop, you have inspired me!
