These dresses from Orla Kiely's fall/winter collection are so me, it's not even funny. I was perusing her site mainly to drool over the new bedding collection (which is fantastic I admit), but the clothing is what really caught my eye! Great prints, great shapes...

Summer Tablescapes, Part 1
My back patio is finally starting to come together. Or at least the fence has been painted white (you can get some glimpses below)! In honor of the new backdrop, I put together a fun tablesetting, perfect for an early-evening spring get-together...
I've been dying to use this great tablecloth from the Orla for Target line. I paired it with $1 striped dish rags from the Dollar Store (here used as napkins), simple white melamine plates, jelly jar flower vases, and an assortment of vintage glassware. Oh, and a touch of playfulness from the Jonathan Adler "Viagra" canister.
Can't wait until the rainy season ends and I can start entertaining on a regular basis. I have so many more fun tablescapes to share!

My Weekend Outdoor Project
I hope you all had a great weekend! It was sunny and hot here in Philadelphia, which gave me the incentive I needed to start on the patio and deck. Most of my time was spent painting the patio fence, which went from a drab untreated wood finish to a bright white. But more on that later, once I can get some good photographs.
A much easier project involved sprucing up our third floor deck. It's a small space, but a perfect one for my fella and I to sit, have a cocktail, and enjoy the city skyline. We purchased the Ikea andirondack chairs last summer, along with the colorful striped cushions, though they do have similar styles this year too.
I started out by painting the Ikea planter that I've had for years and years. I blended the leftover white paint from the patio fence with a touch of turquoise paint (Valspar "Bayside") that was used on the new laundry room walls to create a dreamy aqua. The little iron plant stand was found on the street in a set of three (the other two are downstairs) - I quickly coated it with white gloss spray paint to freshen it up. Then I filled the pots with white begonias and pink petunias!
Because the deck can be viewed through a French glass door at the top of our staircase, I wanted to add some playful touches that would be fun to look at all summer. So I dragged out some fun accessories to give the space life - the chrome lanterns are from West Elm and the ceramic owl planter is from Anthropologie.
And so, with a cool drink in a pear-print Orla Kiely tumbler (they finally re-stocked my local Target with all the Orla kitchenware!) and Sammy the greyhound by my side, the deck is finally ready for summer living!
So, were any of you lucky enough to spend time in the sun this weekend? If so, what did you do?

Orla Kiely Hunting
Hello friends of Peacock Feathers,
I am Radius, Elizabeth's curious and playful (read trouble-maker) cat. Elizabeth is going nuts trying to track down pieces from the Orla Kiely for Target line and I think she needs your help. To those of you in the Philly and South Jersey area, have you come across anything from the kitchen collection? Items such as this, this, this or this? And what about this or this?
So far, she has been to South Philadelphia, Deptford and some store near Wenonah, and all she has found are organizer bins and laundry bags. And while this bin behind me is pretty cute, it's just not good enough for her! She knows that the collection isn't supposed to be fully stocked until February 15, but other bloggers around the country have had luck, so she figures there must be some store in this area with a tiered dessert tray or a ceramic pitcher.
So please, give Elizabeth a shout if you've had better luck than her.... As for me, I am off to shred some toilet paper!
Love ya,
Radius
