Along with my lovely friends Ingrid and Claire, I went to the Art Star Craft Bazaar this weekend for an afternoon of fun craft shopping. By far my favorite booth of the event belonged to designer/illustrator/calligrapher Stephanie Kao and ceramist Robert Siegel. Their joint project "Dentelle et Guirlandes" features gorgeous hand-thrown pottery by Siegel that is embellished with Kao's lacy and delicate designs. I was lucky enough to come away with a glossy pink bud vase adorned with an owl motif similar to the one shown above. Without a doubt, the perfect gift for a friend or for yourself. Check out more at Kao's Etsy site and at Robert Siegel Ceramics...

Very cool!
I've added Kao's Etsy store to my favorites - these pieces are beautiful! There's a white dish with black designs that I have my eye on.

Beautiful! I need to get an outlet installed so I can use my mom's old kiln. Poor thing has been just sitting in her garage for 20 years or more.
I love the little owl vase. It would definitely compliment the color scheme in my kitchen!!
