At the flea market this weekend, I was momentarily intrigued by a gold birdcage and stand...
... but then I became distracted by a table of vintage costume jewelry and that was that. Now, I come across the
gorgeous home of fashion designer Erin Fetherston which features a beyond lovely birdcage in her beyond lovely living room and all I can think is, why didn't I pay more attention to that damn birdcage when I had the chance?
At least now I have a shopping mission when the next flea market rolls around. Oh, and by the way, Miss Fetherston's bedroom is quite lovely too...

I love that wall colour with the shades of cream. Gorgeous!
And isn't that always the way? I remember I saw a gorgeous little bar cart once and then a week later saw a blog post with piles of pretty pictures of bar carts. Of course the item is never there when you go back and look for it!
I love this muted look with tiny pops of color. Easier to manage with the white walls of a rental. And I think that Gold birdcage is a must. Also a must is bringing me along on the next antiquing trip. Serious. Can we plan one for June?
Birdcages are beautiful, I have an old timber Chinese bird cage, so ornate!
Love the gold birdcage; you must stalk that vendor again next time to see if it's still available. That living room is luscious. The soft tufted ottoman and the sumputous draperies... pretty!
Love that unique and beautiful birdcage! Her home is very beautiful, too. I adore your lovely blog, now following!
