Loving Lonny

I have been looking forward to the debut of Lonny, the new online magazine edited by Michelle Adams (of Rubie Green) for a while, but... WOW! I had no idea how good it was going to be! The first issue is chock full of truly amazing interiors and great photography. It is very "Domino" in all the best ways you can imagine. Below is a small sampling of what you'll find inside.  There were really way too many great images to choose from, so you better head over to Lonny to take in the rest....

Pink Indulgence

In honor of Valentine's Day, please let me have a little fun by sharing some of my favorite pink interiors...

I can't help myself...

... but every time I see this crystal pirate ship chandelier, I just want it more and more. Who cares if it comes from Z Gallerie! That makes it even better, because it would be completely unaffordable otherwise! So sparkly and enchanting, I love it. Maybe someday...

Pretty in Pink

Oh how I love this image of Chanel and Roger Vivier muse Ines de la Fressange in her glamorously pink Paris apartment... via Elle Decoration UK.

Looks like we will be seeing her surrounded by more of this color on the cover of the final issue of Domino, coming out any day now...

My Domino Favorites

Everyone seems to be sharing their "best of" Domino images, so here are a few of mine. These are some of the ones I come back to over and over again...

Lousy news... Domino closing

What crummy news to come home to. My favorite magazine is no more... March will be the last issue.

Black and White House

...and zig zag all over! I love this graphic kitchen in the guesthouse designed by Mary McDonald in the new Domino. What fantastic wallpaper...and those python print seat cushions aren't bad either!

Happy Friday + Weekend Plans

Hooray for the weekend!  Tonight is my first holiday party of the season.  My fella and I are heading down towards Atlantic City for a work party and I'm wearing a fabulous dress of the new/old variety (as in I've never worn it before but it's been in my closet for a year).

We're also getting our tree this weekend.  I'm dying to decorate!

And then next weekend, Kevin and I are hosting holiday cocktails at our house.  I want to break out the nice plates and linen napkins this time.  Much planning and decorating to come.  And of course, I'll share photos!

Hope you have a great weekend too!  Any fun plans to share?

Love This Kitchen...

...by always-inventive decorator Miles Redd.  The stripes and glossy olive cabinets are too much, in a good way!

Where Do I Put My Marlin?

I celebrated a wonderful birthday weekend a few days ago.  Amongst the many lovely presents I received from my fella, family, and friends, I was bestowed with a fabulous stuffed marlin like the ones pictured above.  I've always wanted one, but now I don't know where to put it!  It seems like it needs a fairly minimal space so it looks like a piece of art.  Anywhere else and I'm worried things will look tacky and cluttered.   I might have do some rearranging, but I am determined to make it work.  I'll keep you posted once it arrives at the house and I start trying things out...

Black and White Chic

I'm swooning over the oh-so-chic home of J. Crew creative director Jenna Lyons, featured in the new Domino.  The baby's room is particularly fab with the yellow striped ceiling.  I think I want to try that look somewhere, like maybe my own bedroom!  And I can't even talk about that insane "closet"...

Red Mood

I'm not much of a red color person, especially when it comes to home decor. I tend towards cooler shades, and of course to pink. But lately, I've been gravitating towards accents of red, or in some cases whole swathes of it...
