Lily Lodge

As a party planner who deals with floral arrangements every day, I am blown away by Lily Lodge, a wonderful flower shop in L.A. whose proprietor, Ariana Lambert Smeraldo, has come up with such a lovely and ingenious idea: selling spectacular organic old-fashioned flowers arranged in vintage and antique vases. Her philosophy is to sell the best flowers available, ones that are hand-selected from small growers in the area. She showcases them by arranging the blooms simply in rare and unusual vases - many signed and with pedigrees. Her cut flowers are packaged in custom-wood boxes, a truly special gift for whomever is lucky enough to receive it.

I so admire her aesthetic, which carries over from her arrangements to the store decor itself.

A sampling of her arrangements. The single Yves Piaget rose
in the 1960's vintage vase is the perfect gift.

I would die to receive this lovingly-packaged box of exotic dahlias.

The interior of Lily Lodge, both chic and rustic, with it's display of gorgeous flowers in the back.
