The lighting in that first image is pretty amazing - reminds me of a crown!
im a huge fan of the first picture. painting a window seat or recess a darker colour. im doing it at the moment at my place. scary stuff. hopefully it looks good. i have gone straight black, perhaps charcoal would have been better?
